Dr.
Reynaldo C. Ileto has recently joined the National University of
Singapore after his tenure at the Australian National University.
His remarkable challenges to orthodox Philippine historiography include:
Pasyon and Revolution: Popular Movements in the Philippines,
1840-1910 (Quezon City: Ateneo University Press, 1979); Filipinos
and Their Revolution: Event, Discourse, and Historiography (Quezon City: Ateneo
University Press, 1998). He has stayed at Sophia University and Kyoto
University as visiting professor.
